At 3:35 PM on Friday, April 17, 2026, Westerly Dispatch received a report of a structure fire at 3 Brass Ring Road. Engine 3 arrived on scene within four minutes and confirmed a working fire, with smoke visible from the rear of the garage. Crews deployed two 1¾-inch handlines for an interior attack, while Engine 4 secured a water supply. Engine 1 connected to the hydrant assist valve. Ladder 1 was positioned for potential vertical ventilation but was ultimately not needed. An engine from the Watch Hill Fire Department was requested to provide additional manpower.
The fire was brought under control in approximately 30 minutes. The cause remains under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
Engine 1, Engine 2, Engine 4, and Special Hazards 1 then responded to 7 Airport Road for a report of a vehicle into a building. Units cleared the scene shortly thereafter, with no significant damage or hazards identified.
